Kellyanne Conway...fails yet again

She is keeping Merriam Webster busy...how embarrassing this SHOULD be to her and the administration...naturally this must just be more fake news...right? Hopefully someone will appear on TV very soon to say how much confidence our illustrious egomaniac has in her!

Lookups for feminism spiked on February 23, 2017, following an appearance at the annual CPAC conference by Kellyanne Conway, who both called for equal pay for women and said that she didn’t identify herself as a feminist:

It's difficult for me to call myself a feminist in the classic sense because it seems to be very anti-male and it certainly is very pro-abortion, in this context.

Lookups for 'feminism' spiked after Conway distanced herself from the term.

Conway then offered her own definition of feminism:

There's an individual feminism, if you will, that you make your own choices...I look at myself as a product of my choices, not a victim of my circumstances. That's really to me what conservative feminism, if you will, is all about.

Feminism is defined as both "the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities" and "organized activity in support of women's rights and interests." It entered the language in 1895, at a time when efforts for women's political equality were becoming organized and widespread in England and the United States.

Too bad for the most thick-headed amongst us, like yourself TJ, the term "Feminism" has taken on on far more wide ranging and negative meanings and connotations than that simple and quaint Webster definition you desperately ran to.

Except that modern feminism isn't about "equal rights" at all.

Kellyanne is correct, and you, TJ, are just another bitter bot.

On another note, I was unaware that progs even knew what a dictionary was, considering their propensity for creating word definitions that suit them and disregarding the actual definition.

:yeahthat: You beat me to it... I can identify with the 1895 definition of feminism, however, I do not at all identify with the tunnel-vision, male bashing, androgynous movement in the name of feminism that is all in a tither these days.

I completely understand what she said.

What if KAC's job is flack catcher? Sling and arrow cushion? What if her whole purpose was to be well paid to be cannon fodder, a body to offer up to the mob, so the boss can go about the work of creating the EOTWAWKI only to have his opponents wake up one day, maybe, and realize they've simply duped themselves?

Fits in nicely with what I am always saying - you're ALWAYS being manipulated, the press is ALWAYS playing you.
Public appearances and pronouncements are all about misdirection.
When they're all a-twitter over some non-story that gets everyone's hackles up, they're totally ignoring a MUCH bigger issue.

It doesn't mean we never find out, but it does mean that you can't take a damned thing at face value.

But, that would mean...that CNN is in on it. That they KNOW she's the punching bag AND that by punching her HE benefits by virtue of sacrificing her and THEY benefit by attacking a girl as people who generally give the girl a total and free pass only give girl passes to SOME girls which means that...Hillary is in on it too, thankful that some other girl is taking the pounding SHE'DS be taking by the OTHER guys if she'd have won????

Thus, fake news is....REAL NEWS????????????? :jameo:

That's not what I mean when I say it - I mean that PEOPLE are always using misdirection. Like yourself.
If I thought the whole world were in on it together I'd be ready for the rubber room.

That's crap. I upset people because I ask direct questions and they tend to not be comfortable with their own answers.

And THAT'S why I am not a conspiracy buff; the only conspiracy is that there are conspiracies.

tell yourself that if you want, but what's "upset" people is that you used to be a sane, rational person. Then you went to the "D" side, and we'll leave it at that.

No. That's just what Vrai tells you and you, like people tend to do, accept being told what to think when someone blurts out a label. The press, L or R, does this because of one reason; it works. It's an Alinksy rule, Trump uses, Obama uses, I guess we all do to some extent.
My criticism of Bush began WAY before I changed my party affiliation.

And, if you care, I found out in no time that the D's are EXACTLY like the R's; party first. Everyone has the relatively same propensity to confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance. it is innate in us.
And, another reason you're wrong, my very first year on the forums I was having keyboard fights and disagreements. I DO like to argue. I just don't happen to think it is for the sake of argument. I have REASONS, state them and then back them up.

In light what Sam said: "PEOPLE are always using misdirection. Like yourself", what does this post have to do with the thread?

Vrai tells me? hardly, she thought she thought she had to lock up the kids and animals because I said one thing disagreeing with her. I agree that your BDS goes way back, most people accept it almost as a tag line with you. Funny part about this foible of yours is that it's the one part I agree with you with, I think history is not going to look fondly on him as a president.

What I'm talking about is your debates go like this any more.

Larry: so you're for more government
Someone else: No, I'm for training people to get them off the govt dole
L: That means you're for govt bailouts
SE: that doesn't mean anything like that, it's getting people to work and pay taxes instead of supporting them.
L: exactly, govt supporting big business
SE: no, it supporting the individual
L: exactly, it's to big to fail all over again
SE: whatever...
L: I win

I don't want into this argument , but accusing the forum of listening to what Vrai has to say about him is a bad argument.

Larry has made his own bed. Vrai didn't make it for him.

Larry admits he likes to argue. And sometimes he is right. However he believes he is never wrong, and that is where the problem arrives.

Here's the problem; if the gummint is being used to train people to go work for another sector, that, simply, is a form of socialism. That IS a bail out of sorts. It IS using public money for private gain. A capitalist society does NOT do that. It allows the market to sort it out. That the ends is capitalist, to a degree, may well justify the means but it does NOT change what those means are.

And I do NOT win with an argument you above describe. No one does.
