Trump's Alpha Male Foreign Policy

Ubi bene ibi patria
" Forget America First or the new nationalism or any of the other isms that have been offered as explanations for Donald Trump’s emerging foreign policy.

Want to really understand Trump’s philosophy of international relations?

Just listen to Sebastian Gorka, the Breitbart propagandist and Hungarian ultranationalist turned White House national security aide. He’s been saying it loud and clear for a couple months now whenever he’s asked about Trump’s foreign policy and how the new president will shake things up globally: “The alpha males are back.”

“Our foreign policy has been a disaster,” Gorka told Fox’s Sean Hannity before the inauguration. “We’ve neglected and abandoned our allies. We’ve emboldened our enemies. The message I have—it’s a very simple one. It’s a bumper sticker, Sean: The era of the Pajama Boy is over January 20[SUP]th[/SUP] and the alpha males are back.”

He’s repeated the phrase several times since, and it strikes me as perhaps unintentionally helpful in trying to sort through Trump’s largely unformed and at times outright contradictory foreign policy views.

It can be hard to parse the president otherwise. Is Trump really an anti-free trader who wants to end globalization—or an international businessman turned politician who simply wants a “better deal”? Does he seek more aggressive military measures and a tougher approach in the Middle East—or to give up and go home altogether?

Will he get the United States into new confrontations with China, Iran, North Korea and others? Or is he actually a peacemaker in waiting, one who can finally work with the wily Russians and get the grand bargain done between the Israelis and the Palestinians that eluded all his predecessors? "

Are we to understand this is a bad thing?

Complete, total, utter fail. You suck, boy...and your sources do too.

In 1997 Gorka was awarded the second Partnership for Peace International Research Fellowship at the NATO Defense College in Rome.[16] In 1998 Gorka was awarded the Kokkalis Fellowship at Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. At Harvard he became one of the founding members of the Council on Emerging National Security Affairs (CENSA).[17] Before starting the second year of his public policy fellowship, he abandoned his studies and was hired by the RAND Corporation in the fields of transatlantic security and counterterrorism, but after less than a year at RAND Corporation Gorka returned to Budapest in 2000 to establish and head the now-defunct Center for Euro-Atlantic Integration and Democracy

In 2004, Gorka became an adjunct to the faculty of the new US initiative for the Program for Terrorism and Security Studies (PTSS), a Defense Department-funded program based in the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. At the same time Gorka became an adjunct to USSOCOM's Joint Special Operations University, MacDill Air Force Base. He and his family relocated to the United States in 2008. In America, Gorka was hired as administrative dean at the National Defense University, Fort McNair, Washington D.C. Two years later, he began to lecture part-time for the ASD(SOLIC)-funded Masters Program in Irregular Warfare and Counterterrorism as part of the Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program but remained in a largely administrative role.[21] In 2014 Gorka assumed the privately-endowed Major General Horner Distinguished Chair of Military Theory at the Marine Corps University Foundation.[3] In August 2016, he joined The Institute of World Politics, a private institution, on a full-time basis as Professor of Strategy and Irregular Warfare and Vice President for National Security Support.[22] He is on the advisory board of the Council for Emerging National Security Affairs (CENSA).[1

I think it's time someone told Iran, and N. Korea to cool it.
Intercontinental missiles and Nuclear warheads are clearly too dangerous to be in the hands of these nutbags.
My problem is why other countries have not joined together to stop a growing threat formed by these two.
Even Russia and China should see the threat.
Unless the Middle east wants to become a satellite of Iran, they must see it's danger.
Certainly China should see that N. Korea is a threat even to them.
