    IMDB message boards

    As a few of you may know - I only found out today - the message boards on IMDB have been removed.

    While I get that some of it is deserved - many times threads were hate fests, trolls and political arguments having very little to do with the actor or movie - they were pricelss sources of information on less popular shows, movies and actors. You could go to those and find some fan that posted a pic from a recent meeting, an old friend who knew them in the past - and in the case of Criminal Minds, many years ago - one of the actual actors posted replies (something they can do on Facebook now, but it was unusual then).

    I've dug deep into a few movies/shows I watched over the years. Often you had to wade through a bunch of nonsense to find some meaningful dialog. But when you did, it was sweet getting some additional information or finding out something that you were unaware of.

    While I didn't use them often, I too will miss them.

    Dammit there was another reason I used to go to the message boards ---

    They were the first place to go if a show was cancelled - or renewed. Now I have to Google shows one by one.
