The Wapo quote paraphrases exactly what Sen. Franken asked and quotes exactly how Mr. Sessions replied.
Try to spin it an idiotic way you want (and you ARE trying hard)...the plain fact of the matter is that Mr. Sessions volunteered an answer to a question he wasn't asked. He specifically said he, himself had no communications with the Russians.
