Liberals Are So Desperate To Take Down Trump They’re Paying Thousands For Fake Docs


A liberal activist desperate to take down President Donald Trump paid thousands of dollars for what turned out to be forged documents, revealing a willingness among Trump’s critics to believe almost anything that might hurt his presidency.

The Israeli flew to Rome in January to meet with an Italian businessman who promised him a set of potentially explosive documents on Trump in exchange for $9,000 in cash, reports Buzzfeed News. The documents appeared to prove ExxonMobil had secretly bribed the president to nominate Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, and the man eagerly passed them on to Democrat operatives and journalists. But they turned out to be forgeries.

The story is a look inside a growing market for information and is just one example of the lengths Trump’s opponents will go in the hopes of toppling his presidency, and gives a glimpse inside the growing market for potentially damaging information on him. Scam artists have taken note, Buzzfeed reports, and are whipping up elaborate schemes to tempt activists with fake information for a price.

The forged documents regarding the ExxonMobil bribe involved a network of people, including the Italian businessman, who claims to be a knight, an American felon who spends time digging up dirt on Trump, and the Israeli who fell for the scam.

Remember who was the leader of the birther cause?

I don't doubt the article is correct. But its not something unique to liberals. Remember the most ardent conservatives were drooling over fake birth certificates that showed Obama was born in Kenya. When you hold very deep beliefs, I think its hard to be objective. And there are those on both the right and left who see the world in black and white and feel that very deep in their emotional core.

I think it was even the NYT which has a strong liberal bent ran an article about how liberals are now more likely to be conspiracy theorists than conservatives. It appears that being out of power has a strong correlation (and probably a causation too) of being a conspiracy theorist.

I do remember. Hillary Clinton had a supporter named Phil Berg, I think is his name, file a lawsuit kicking off the idea that Obama is not a citizen. Got Obama's paternal grandmother and half brother to go along.

What's your point about Mrs. Clinton?

I certainly am still a birther.
That BC he presented is BS and the woman who stated it was real has been drowned.
The future will prove me right, when one day someone has the balls to really investigate it.

Birth certificate aside we know his father was a Muslim, His Stepfather was a Muslim, His mother, Grandfather,Grandmother, and mentor were Communists, His Mentor a pornographer who his mother posed nude for. And stupid people still voted for this fraud who the media covered for every step of the way.

Doesn't matter what one thinks about it. At some point, the powers that be moved on. The story will NEVER be officially investigated unless it is to declare him a citizen. You need merely think of the consequences of the United States government knowingly allowing a disqualified person to act in the legal name of the presidency. Imagine the chaos of the undoing of every single thing he did from bills he signed to executive actions he created to the people he had killed by his hand, judge, juror and executioner. This simply can not be allowed.

I won't be around to see it. It has been a big Government conspiracy from start to finish.

I don't see how the story is NOT worth investigating if only by some serious 60 minutes style production or other to lay out the case FOR and against. It's like him being a Muslim. Both his father and his step dad were Muslim. He was raised in Kenyan for a time as a young boy. As I understand it, you're not obligated or considered to be a Muslim at that point if you take the schooling, you're too young. But why can't we even have THAT conversation? Denial does no one any good. Especially when, were the tables turned, clearly, people who see things one way would see it the other were his last name R rather than D. It delegitimizes Obama to explore NONE of it. That alone leaves the suspicions to fester.

It's our gummint. We can't afford it. JFK's murder was covered up, 9/11 was covered up, Pearl Harbor was covered up and this was covered up NOT because there was some conspiracy or other but because there was NONE. It simply can not be that the US gummint be seen as incompetent and/or having made grave, simple mistakes or been terribly negligent. We, people, like a conspiracy, even a bad one, rather than the simple truth.

Whitewater was covered up , Vince Fosters death was covered up, the emails were covered up, Bill Clinton meeting Loretta Lynch at the airport was covered up.
Obama and Kerry's deal with Iran was covered up.The Uranium deal with Hillary was covered up. Need we go on?

Those were personal. They didn't impact the competency of the gummint itself. That's not an excuse. It's a distinction.

And they were not covered up. We KNOW what happened and just choose to ignore it. Other than Foster, we know what went on.

I didn't choose to ignore it. The political people in power chose to, and should be ashamed, but they aren't.
The same people who chose to ignore it made her their nominee for President, which should show anyone with a brain that they are
all complicit in crimes.
