You have to wonder how many other lawyers are pulling the same scam.

A Kentucky lawyer who calls himself “Mr. Social Security” admitted to his role in a long-running fraud scheme that netted nearly $600 million in federal disability payments.

Federal prosecutors said the 57-year-old social security lawyer earned millions by paying medical professionals and a judge to approve false disability claims.
According to the plea, Conn, along with retired Social Security Administration judge David B. Daugherty and several doctors, submitted thousands of falsified medical documents to the SSA over the course of more than a decade.

Between October 2004 to April 6, 2016, the group fraudulently obtained $550 million in disability payments — with Conn raking in more than $5.7 million in representative fees based on the fraudulent claims.
He also admitted to paying the judge about $10,000 a month for more than six years to award disability benefits in more than 1,700 cases, according to documents filed with the guilty plea.
