Local police said they arrested a man dressed like the famous comic book villain – decked out in a cape and carrying a sword.

Thirty-one-year-old Jeremy Putman was arrested and charged with wearing a mask in public, a felony in the state of Virginia that can result in a year in jail.

Looks more like makeup than a mask. As such, I wonder if most women would be put in jail.

Talk about overreach of a law, where is the ACLU?
When some idiot wearing a clown mask trespasses, vandalizes, or does something even worse, the existing criminal laws are more than adequate to deal with the problem. Relying on anti-mask laws to deal with the recent spate of clown incidents may be a temptingly convenient alternative, but it is also a constitutionally fraught one.

IMO you are wrong. Anyone who disguises himself to cause trouble needs to be arrested and prosecuted.
