Don't be silly - of course it does. Surely nobody thinks "rogue elements" :drama: did this without Obama's knowledge and consent.

Gotta remember - holding to form - the big o knew nothing about it until he read it in the papers.

Ya'll are barking up the wrong tree. Like benghazi, this isn't partisan. If it were, something would already be being done. Like benghazi the mud would get on folks from both sides and then the behind the scenes check on one another would be lost.

You and me rob houses. You sorta get busted. I got the goods on you and can put the nail in your coffin. However, in doing so, it would put the, or a nail in mine because you have some goods on me, too. Live and let live, owe me one? Or kill myself to kill you?

Mutually assured destruction DOES deter and it helps keep some sort of controls.

I have no doubt you have a point. But as an American citizen I am sick to death watching these political career turds and their antics.
It's time to clean house.

Had trump lost, the gop would be facing serious soul searching as the D's are doing now. Winning doesn't make anyone change. This was George wills point: better to lose and get the house in order thwn suffer the crushing embarrassment of trump whereby nothing in the gop is going to get fixed because winning covers it all up.

You call it a crushing embarrassment that Trump won?
Have you no idea what we would now be facing with Hillary as President?
Better the gridlock than the rampant liberalism of that bunch

I am not embarrassed that Trump won I am embarrassed that Republicans are not there for him.
That is the embarrassment.

#### both parties, may they all rot in hell.

This right here ^^^

I'm not embarrassed so much - I dumped the GOP long ago - but I am disappointed to see the Republican "leadership" running around like Larry/Moe/Curly while apparently trying to derail the Republican President. You have to wonder WTH.

I make the assumption you consider yourself a conservative. Fair?

Any way you cut it, Trump is not a conservative. He's barely a Republican. He manipulated folks with his bombast and insults. Had he not insulted so many people and so relentlessly, unabashedly, do you think he'd have won? No, and hell no. He motivated people with ANGER. He appealed to frustration and fear that OUR country was being taken. He promised absurdities; repeal of the ACA day 1. Defeat ISIS as if he, or we, even know what that would look like let alone what it took. The wall. Bending the world to his will as though he was being elected king. His relationship with Putin and Russia ought to make any Red, White and Blue type cringe. His views on the Constitution ought to make any conservative deeply worried.

That is not inspirational or aspirational as per Reagan.

Now, maybe it satisfies many folks simply by winning but doesn't HOW you win matter? What has he, or we won?

At some point, assuming you ARE a conservative, you'll either stop being one or start realizing that you've been had. A Hillary win means the GOP has to fix itself. It means BIG gains mid term. At present, man, at this rate, the GOP is gonna lose big in the mid terms.

In any event, Donald Trump is President of the United States and if that makes you proud, good on you.

So, nothing. Everyone can be as proud and happy as they like. It just doesn't comport very well, at all, with any interest in limited gummint. It's like people being happy the Pats won because they hate the Cardinals; doesn't help your team, at all.

I don't agree with you at all. I voted against Hillary. I would have voted for almost anyone against Hillary. I voted against an Obama third term.
I still believe we are better off with Trump than we would have been with Hillary
So far Trump has done many thing I like. Especially jerking a knot in the EPA.
I knew trump wasn't a Conservative, but I also knew he wasn't selling us out to keep his foundation going.
He promised to prosecute Hillary and he is mistaken not to do it.

The Democrats were really stupid not to back Ryans health plan, they had us by the balls on that one and let us get away.
Obamacare will die on it's own.
We will end up with Single payer which is what bot parties want.
But I also know that Trump can be used if politicians were smart. If they came up with some good ideas, presented them and backed Trump we could get a good administration. But they would rather fight because he isn't owned by them.

Anyway not to go too deep. I still think keeping Hillary and the Democrats out of the WH was a good thing to do.
I am not proud that Trump is in the WH, I am proud that we kept the criminals and Obama OUT.

You call this "soul searching"? I'd call it a world class temper tantrum.

The GOP has showed absolutely zero interest in "fixing" itself. That is in large part why Trump was elected. The conservative electorate is as sick of the Republican arm of the socialist party as they are the Democrat.
