There is also Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Silver Spring. They used to be in downtown DC and went there several times for the food festivals. They moved to their present location in 2015 so I don't know their new home, but the folks at their old location were very nice.

There is also St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in DC. Went there once for a wedding and it was beautiful.

Thank you, but this is a Russian Orthodox and that doesn't work for him.

Thank you for looking! It looks like a trip to Naptown is in order.

BTW, my wife was raised Greek Orthodox, don't think she's been to Church since her cousin got married 30+ years ago.
She's become more a cultural Christian who is spiritually an agnostic-deist.

Well, actually St. Thomas the Apostle is not "Russian". Technically it is in the Carpatho-Russian diocese (which is under the Ecumenical Patriarch just like the Greeks), but it is basically "American". The parishioners are Greek, Russian, Romanian, Arabic, Korean, and mostly converts. Services are in English.

Thank you newbie! :flowers:

Unfortunately, he is Greek Orthodox and doesn't go by the Russian Orthodox Church. I know nothing about it, so I cannot comment much further about it on his behalf.

There used to be a Saint George's Greek Orthodox in Brandywine, MD - but it closed in the 1990s.

There is an Ethiopian Orthodox with a prominent dome, on southbound Route 5 by the Beltway (Camp Springs, MD).
