You would think they would design some kind of a tug vehicle to go pull them to the end of the run. Or a push vehicle to get them over the hump.

But I think pushing / pulling the cars on the ride might involve some dynamics that would be impossible to meet.
For example, to take curves a specific G force had to be met and kept. Speed is a tight tolerance, cars have to be fast enough to stay on the track and compete the course, but slow enough to not jump the track.
It might work as a safety vehicle to clear the track before the start of the day or routine inspections throughout the day.
