NOPE - my bad. It's all intentional. These guys have no idea that such an instance happens hundreds of times daily across campuses with the roles reversed.

Can we all agree that this person is lying and their tale never happened?

For one thing, I have never encountered any "socialist" who could coherently defend their position, let alone some school kid, and especially not on the fly. For another thing, this kid is the lone progbot in a whole class of young people and academics? No freaking way.

He's either a conservative troll looking to get a rise out of the Reddit progs, or he's a prog spinning a story to get a rise out of the Reddit progs. Either way, he's lying.

    What he said... ^^^

Some of the phrasing came off as .... story-telling. More right-brain (creativity) than left-brain (memory). I thought it was a joke or satire.

I'll go for that. But that subreddit description is:

Hello comrades! As a friendly reminder, this subreddit is a space for socialists.
Therefore it's possible this kid was serious, especially considering the responses. So if we all want to vote "Troll" I'm okay with that.

'the college kid' kinda says that ... I'm not good at debating / getting my point across
We’re tempted to suggest a conspiracy here — but it’s just liberals agreeing yet again that conservatives have hidden, evil motives, because modern liberals simply can’t conceive of any other reason to disagree with the liberal consensus.
