Is your Verizon cellular service out?

That is an impossibility because as everyone knows, Verizon has the fastest and most reliable network, coast to coast, of all the major carriers.

Verizon service is not out, they just suck!!!!!!! stocks are way down, people leaving to go to other networks. About time people smarten up a bit

I've always been happy with V coverage in the Lex Park area. By contrast, I have relatives come into town and complain that their non-V coverage is lousy in the entire area.

I've had Verizon for decades (which includes their predecessor Bell Atlantic) and have found I've had coverage where others did not.
No roaming either.
The people I hear complain are those with the discount carriers that promised they would have the same coverage.
Metro PCS and Sprint being two of the bigger names that people have complained about
Surprisingly, the no contract line that Wal-Mart has seems to have pretty good coverage in the county (and outside)

Those no-contract phones are using the Verizon network in many cases.
