Rolling Stone Even Sees the Need

How low do you have to sink to lose an election in this country? Republicans have been trying to answer that question for years. But they've been unable to find out, because Democrats somehow keep failing to beat them.

There is now a sizable list of election results involving Republican candidates who survived seemingly unsurvivable scandals to win higher office.

The lesson in almost all of these instances seems to be that enormous numbers of voters would rather elect an openly corrupt or mentally deranged Republican than vote for a Democrat. But nobody in the Democratic Party seems terribly worried about this.

Gianforte is a loon with a questionable mustache who body-slammed Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs for asking a question about the Republican health care bill. He's the villain du jour, but far from the worst exemplar of the genre.

This is frightening because it's how the Dems took hold of this country in the first place:

Shop around a highly palatable message to lull people into a false sense of security and bring them on board;
Once they're comfortable, change your platform to what you really wanted all along.

What RS means is that the Left needs to go back to lying to us and massaging their image. In another 10 years or so, we'll forget that they're the party of crime and riots and terrorism and racial strife and infantilized college students. We'll think they're the party of the little guy and start voting for them again. Then they can bring it back to crime and riots and terrorism and racial strife and infatilized college students, which is what they really want.

Note that this piece doesn't say the Dems need to rethink their goals and value system; it just says they need to change their message.

And here we go with this #### again:

Trump was caught admitting to sexual assault on tape

You tell me a horror story about a corrupt or bad republican candidate or politician and I can tell you two about a Democrat just as bad.

The media is four square against this guy because he opened a can of whoop ass on a reporter that was begging for it.

OMG he body slammed a JOURNALIST. Part of the elite few who are supposedly untouchable.
If a journalist acts like an ass why shouldn't they be subject to the same possibilities of getting slammed like anyone else.?

"Welcome to Montana, son."

I admit it, I cheered and did a happy dance when I heard that Gianforte had roughed up this obnoxious reporter. Maybe if enough of them get their asses kicked, they'll earn how to act and be more polite. They're so used to getting away with their intrusive and ugly behavior that it stuns them when their victim retaliates. Then they go, "Oh, Gianforte won despite assaulting a reporter!" No, dummy, he won BECAUSE he assaulted a reporter.

They have their heads so far up each other's ass that they can't see anything but ####.

Expanding on this, the Dems are also the party of slavery and the KKK. Took them a little while to overcome that image and repackage it as "compassion".

.... I was thinking of the Progressive 'Trump Sucks' drumbeat .....

not that I want them winning, but Dems need to run on soothing besides 'Trump Sucks'

The Democrats keep losing because their message is outdated. They are losing their base, because they have finally figured out its all BS. The inner cities are worse, the poor are still poor. These people are not turning Republican, they are just not voting, disgusted with years of lies and false promises.
That leaves the Democrats the urban cultural snobs and the LBGTQAZSW crowd. Not quite enough to win a National election or to take over State houses. Look at Governor Hogan and Del. Deb Rey in Maryland for a local window.

If the Democrats could actually cash checks their mouths write, they would be invincible, but the country now sees them for who they really are.....a bunch of power hungry control freaks......

To be fair almost everyone had already voted in this election before the event ever happened, that early voting thing seems to have bit the D's in the ass.
