One portion of that deal -- $12 billion for 36 F-15QA fighter jets -- was inked on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., when Qatar's Defense Minister met with U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis.

"We are pleased to announce today the signing of the letter of offer and acceptance for the purchase of the F-15QA fighter jets, with an initial cost of $12 billion dollars," read the Qatari Defense Minister's statement on Wednesday afternoon. "We believe that this agreement will propel Qatar's ability to provide for its own security while also reducing the burden placed upon the United States military in conducting operations against violent extremism."

During my recent trip to the Middle East I stated that there can no longer be funding of Radical Ideology. Leaders pointed to Qatar - look!

So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding...

...extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!

Pond scum like MR don't understand things like that. Never will.

Hang on, so now things that happened under obamas term are his? When did that happen?

And why would our cheeto in chief not put a stop to this deal if Qatar really is a sponsor of terrorism like he said? I thought he was supposed to be undoing the bad obama did

And Trump owns what he does........... or doesn't do. I imagine Trump had an opportunity to stop this deal, and obviously didn't.

That is actually quite curious. Must be more to the story...

$12 billion IS a lot of money.

I remember how disappointed we were when Barry managed to screw up a big arms deal with the Saudis that would have been very lucrative for us.

Sure, but isn't Trump supposed to lead in these instances?

He'd make his recommendation, but last I looked we still had separation of powers and three branches of government in this country. Barry only thought he was a King; he wasn't really.

Wait a minute now... who was in control of congress when this deal was made?

Barry owns everything he did. Who else?

So that means Barry owns the stock market breaking 20000 and the other things trump and trumpers have been claiming credit for :yay:

And trump gets credit for not stopping a deal to deliver arms to a state he just called a sponsor of terrorism
