This unease is widespread, and has raised new calls for breaking up Jeff Bezos’s impending monopoly by force.

Now, I'm a capitalist, good as anyone else, but having Bezos own everything that Google doesn't own is alarming. Google now filters search results to bring up what they want you to see, not what you're looking for - I have countless personal examples of this. I have no reason to believe that Bezos won't use his conglomerate to do the same, considering the hard Left turn WashPo has taken since he bought it, not to mention their "reporters" just making chit up on the fly with no evidence or investigation.

There are a few hilarious aspects to this situation - mainly that the kids who rail against corporate America are peachy double about the enormous corporations that are Google and Amazon. They have been told to hate Walmart, so they do, while the people who tell them to hate Walmart move into position to put Walmart out of business and replace it with their own entity.

Perhaps that will be our brand of Socialism: we will not be owned by the government; we will be owned by a corporation.

Now Amazon/Whole Foods can sell you an Organically Grown, Fair Trade Imported, Eco-Friendly, Green Energy Processed and Democratic National Committee Approved Peach for the low, low price of $28.

Guess I should have bought it at $11.

:lmao:

I guess if I had a lot of cash around, I'd buy stock in Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The thinking the past couple days is that Amazon will gobble one of those two up to further their competition will Walmart.

You probably wish you would have bought a ####-ton of Amazon stock when the company was pretty much #### back then. Then you would not be living in PG county anymore....
