Preliminary Cause: Incendiary

Additional Information: The Sheriff's Office was notified of the property destruction from the early morning hours of June 24, 2017 in the Academy Hills neighborhood in Leonardtown, Maryland. Three mailboxes were located with ground based sparkler devices that had been ignited inside. Witnesses said that there were other mailboxes that had damage from the prior weekend that had not been reported. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6833.

Preliminary Cause: Incendiary

Additional Information: The two vehicles were behind the establishment awaiting repairs. Suspect(s) ignited a molotov cocktail in the passenger's compartment of each vehicle. The fire caused moderate damage to the interior of both vehicles. The tires were also cut on both vehicles which is being handled by the Charles County Sheriff's Office.

Preliminary Cause: Incendiary - Suspect(s) ignited available combustibles inside passenger compartment.

Additional Information: The vehicle was reported stolen from La Plata in Charles County around 3:00 p.m.. The vehicle fire was reported at the Medley Lane address around 6:45 p.m. The vehicle is a total loss as a result of the fire. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6832.
