But conversely.... can you imagine the shock and horror if some of the ads on TV today were shown to 50s/60s society?

Me too. It was years before I realized those weren't the original lyrics.

And "Funny Face". Strange, it never occurred to me they were ethnic slurs.
We had that when there wasn't Kool-Aid.
