Our Men and Women of the Sheriff's Office continue to do an outstanding job. I noticed there was one death investigation. I wonder why a death is not investigated when it occurs in a hospital. Isn't the person still dead, no matter where it occurs? It is merely an "assumption" that the person died of natural causes or outside of a medical mistake. The end result remains the same. The person is dead. I doubt this would occur, but lets say a member of the medical staff was high on opiates. After all, we are told that people of all walks of life can become addicted. And then, while the person is high, administers the wrong drug to a patient, thus killing the person. Isn't this criminal manslaughter? I would say yes it is. Doesn't this deserve an equal consideration of an investigation? Most of us would say yes. Perhaps some of you may have had a loved one die in a hospital under perhaps suspicious circumstances. I know my wife has. If one person has, there are usually others.
