World War II Military Surplus 1911’s Coming To Store Shelves?


The Civilian Marksmanship Program may be getting thousands of WWII era M1911 pistols to sell to the public. This is courtesy of a clause in the 2018 NDAA bill, HR 2810, which has passed the House, and directs the Secretary Of Defense to approve the transfer.

The problem with CMP is that they don't use Luck of the Draw like the DCM did.
So what will happen if they do ever get these 1911's is they will open each box and grade each pistol and they will be sold in that manner.
Just like now,. With the desirable Garands and Carbines the man with the deeper checkbook will get the more desirable pistols.
It all sould still be luck of the draw.
