ISO Information Chain Downspout

Anyone have experience with chain downspouts?
I have a short gutter along the roof over my front entrance that spills over the end with a heavy rain.
It is suppose to drain back to the main gutter along the front of the house. The roof has a valley that pours into the corner of the two gutters.
I am thinking about putting a chain downspout near the end of the short gutter. As you can see in the picture, there is no wall to attach a regular downspout.

We have one, it's OK. Just make sure you have some sort of splash pad underneath it. We have some gravel.

I found a group of youtubes on line. One showed a heavy downpour and the chain just couldn't handle it. Heavy downpours is when I need it to work.
So I guess I'm having second thoughts about it.

What's wrong with running a gutter around the corner? Pretty common, I think.
