Thread: Moving on to our founders

While we're at it, can we drop Robert Byrd's name from about a million places in West Virginia?

He CREATED a chapter in West Virginia.

We don't need to spread ourselves out to different parties, but decide on which one and go there.
I left when the person I voted for in the primary (Kasich) decided to go on the insanity anti-Trump campaign. That was really just the last straw among hundreds of previous straws.

I put him and Ted Kennedy into the same despicable pile. But, they didn't get to where they were without voters putting them there. Kennedy should have been wearing a orange jump suit and Byrd serving ice cream at Dairy King. But the people decided to reward them for their evil deeds.

I left after the 2012 election fiasco when I realized I'd been donating money to a bunch of lumbering idiots (RNSC, RNC, etc) who seemed hell bent on chasing butterfly political issues instead of focusing on real ones.

It took a good 3 years before the fund-raising phone calls stopped.

Nope ... he is a 'courageous' ex-Klanner from the left

I remember when the book "The Last Brother" came out. After reading it I was amazed that Kennedy was still being re-elected for all those years afterward. The "political machine" works wonders on stuff like that.

I had it explained to me that "that's different". Robert Byrd A) wasn't really a KKK member; or B) has long ago renounced his white supremacy; or C) has done so many wonderful things (don't ask what, they'll just start calling you ugly names) that his past is forgiven.

These people live in an alternate reality and think what they're told to think.

Somehow being an awesome third President and writing the actual Declaration doesn't merit having your memorial taken down.
