WOW, instead of rioting, you show your displeasure at the voting booth.

Italian Americans will vote against those politicians who show their hatred of them by seeking to take down the statue of Christopher Columbus in New York, an advocate of the community vowed on Sunday.
Joseph Guagliardo told host John Catsimatidis on his radio show that “we are going to remember all those people that hate Italian-Americans and that are [seeking to take down the Columbus statue]… And in the elections, we are going to show them that Italian-Americans do got to the polls, are going to vote and are definitely going to go after the people who are hating Italian-Americans.
Guagliardo was specifically referring to New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Vivirito, who “has now hooked her wagon to the hate train of taking down statues down South, and suddenly just woke up one morning, on the 21st, and decided that the statue of Christopher Columbus should come down also.”"
