I thought everyone got the memo, but evidently this jackassery continues..... Cliff notes:

1. 13 year old 8th grader wears shorts to school with pocketknife in pocket from day before at home.

2. Realizes this in second period, asks permission to go to office, where he turns himself in for bringing the knife to school

3. Instead of "Good work kid, stop by at the end of the day to get your knife back", Dad gets a call that sonny is getting an automatic three day suspension.

Ah, yes, judgment, who needs it.....

Kid learned a valuable lesson... Honesty is NOT the best policy.

Learned that one many years back, compliments of the IRS and Comptroller.

This just shows the actual intelligence of people of people who are edumacated and teach in schools.
