What is funny about this thread is that almost everyone here see's it as so preposterous as to deserve nothing but sarcasm and utter disdain.

No kidding. Does that mean that my white one and a half year old, adorable granddaugter, who loves watermelon is a racist? It has, sadly, come to that, and I fear for her future, and her bro on the way in a couple months. God bless, America.

Does it matter that our family has a 'yuge' amount of Native American blood running through our veins? Or, for that matter, that every human that has existed on Earth has black blood origins. I don't understand why so many people are so uninformed. Just kidding. I know why.
Edit: Sorry, I am a thinker. What I want to know is why blacks in America are not up in arms about their bros in Africa that are still capturing, killing, and selling slaves; their own people. God bless us all.

And, not to mention that blacks sold slaves to the 'white' people in the first place. The scariest thing about all this current crap is that people don't know history, and they are being kept from it on purpose. That is how socialism/communism/totalitarianism works. And, it is working. Wake up, America! Snap out of it!

I possess the Daguerreotype of my ancestor that married a Shawnee woman. It is dated 1840. The white man is not the monster that some want to make him to be. Move on, y'all, and make America better than ever. I don't get why some want to bring Her down.

I'm not sure how or why watermelon became a black stereotype-y thing. I love and have always loved watermelon. (I'm pretty caucasian, myself). Every family barbecue I've ever been to - and not just mine.... But friends of every color - served watermelon. And I chew watermelon flavored bubble gum.

I hate that stereotype because I feel excluded.
