    And to be honest, I really didn't know more than say 3/4 off the top of my head but in some cases used process of elimination and some Latin (HA!, knew I would use it someday :) to get the rest. The phobias for instance, I know the Latin for birds, and that only left one phobia :)

    Having Latin and etymology in high school has paid off surprisingly well in my adult life.

    Might sound obvious but travelling to Latin America, it came in pretty handy. Puerto Rico, Panama, Argentina, El Salvador all a bit easier being able to guess from the roots.
