Who remembers Lippogate?

So I was reading this article this morning

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...y-half-documents-show/?utm_term=.ff48d198e4a6

Does anyone remember much about the designation of Grand Staircase in Utah (1.9 million acres) as a National Monument? If not, let me refresh your memory. President Bill Clinton designated this land to be a National Monument, and in doing so eliminated the ability to mine one of the only low sulfur (clean) coal deposits in the world. The other is in Indonesia and at the time the Lippo Group was (and may still be) heavily invested. So basically President Clinton handed over a monopoly on this energy source to Indonesian and Chinese interests.

Trump is rolling it back and that is fantastic. :hooray:

So anyhoo, since this issue brought back so many memories I decided to go back and read old news articles on the Clintons and Lippogate. I had forgotten how much hot water the Clintons were in for their relationship with China and their influence on our elections. Very interesting reading. Enjoy! :coffee:

One has to wonder if Hillary thought back to those days and used it as a bit of a playbook for todays current events.

I do remember Lippogate. It's kind of amazing that the press doesn't remember it, considering most of them covered it extensively. Now, however....amnesia.

Must be all that groping and sexual assaulting, rotting their brains.

Used to read alot of J. Orlin Grabbe's stuff, he had a ton of stuff about the Lippo Group and the Clintons. Wonder if Chelsea knows her daddy (Webster Hubbell) went to jail for his dealings with Lippo.

A little late to go back over Clinton and his BS over the coal.
I won't argue why Clinton banned the mining of this coal (Although I am sure his pockets got lined for it)

I will give Trump credit for opening up the sale of this coal.

fact is I haven't seen anything Trump has done since he has been in office that wasn't for the benefit of OUR country.
