December 7th or September 11th?

Obviously those that lived through December 7, 1941 are slowly slipping away and this generation is more familiar with September 11th, but which do you believe was more aggregious?

9/11 based on how much liberty it has cost us citizens in the guise of "safety". Dec. 7th probably has similarities to be sure, but the technology of today has allowed for much more than would have been possible in 1941.

Also, "egregious".

IMO 911 was the more aggregious.
The attack at Pearl Harbor was no surprise, and it was against the military.
The President and his leadership knew the attack was coming, they just didn't know the day.
There had been huge expectation of such an attack.

911 was against civilians,not a military base.
It wasn't made to start a war of invasion or to defend a country against what that country assumed was an infringement on their existence.
It was made as an act of pure hate.A hate that exists in what some fools call A religion of peace.

IMO, 9/11 was far worse in that it was staged via murder, and attacked a soft target of civilians for the most part. As Hijinx said, the US military and govt had a pretty good look at very possible attacks on US military installations in the Pacific, and just sat on their hands waiting for it to unfold vs not knowing it was coming. There were hints that something was going down prior to 9/11, but the Gorelick Wall prevented agencies from connecting the dots. Both attacks result from the very top level of govt (FDR because he just wanted to do nothing, Bush could do nothing because of the walls set up by the Clinton presidency and Gorelick) doing nothing to try and stop them from occurring.

MY opinion based on historical evidence.

Tough to say. 12/7 kicked off our participation in WWII; but 9/11 was an attack on us personally, the civilians and not a military target. I'ma go with Pearl Harbor because it has more historical significance.

9/11 definitely, for all the above mentioned reasons. A deliberate attack on civilians, innocent men, women and children. Not to downplay Pearl Harbor, but, it was a military installation and a military target.

You may be right, but although WW!! lasted about 5 years we are still battling Islamic radicals , and have been for the last 16 years and no end in sight.
Not an argument with your opinion, because both opinions are significant and justified.

we are still battling Islamic radicals

We have been battling Islamic radicals for generations. 9/11 was just one incident, and we only think it's a huge deal because it happened to us. Muslim crazies have been having a "day of rage" for at least 100 years. It's somewhat hilarious that Theresa May is having a #### fit about Jerusalem, considering that the Balfour Declaration was their guy.

The UK is now under the control of people they allowed to come in and take over. It will soon be a Caliphate.
She and Merkel are both crazier than loons. Thank God we have a President who can see the handwriting on the wall and is trying to stop it.
If only we had a Congress.
