Democrat Spreads Big Lie

"Since January, we've had 397 gun massacres in America, defined as a slaying of 4 people or more," Raskin said. "The American people want to end this reign of terror but what do our friends do on the other side?"

Raskin's statement did not match statistics from any known database of shootings. The number of shootings that matched his criteria was only 40 for 2017 – 357 less shootings than he claimed.

WFB cites the openly pro-gun control Mass Shooting Tracker's statistics, which show that from Jan 1, 2017 to Dec 4, 2017 there were 40 shootings in which 4 or more people were killed.

"The Mass Shooting Tracker's definition of mass shooting, where 4 or more people are injured but not necessarily killed in the shooting, is closer to Rep. Raskin's estimate," WFB notes. The media and gun control advocates have pushed for a new definition of what qualifies as a mass shooting by dropping the number of causalities required in a shooting for it to qualify in order to inflate the numbers, a tactic Mass Shooting Tracker takes despite contradicting the FBI's official definition.

You really will stop at nothing to try to deceive people will you?

All you have to do is google mass shooting US 2017 and as of Nov 6th there are 307. Much closer to ruskin's statement then yours.

The question is who is paying you to spread false info?

You sure blew that one, shortbus. What Ruskin stated was quite false and inaccurate: "Since January, we've had 397 gun massacres in America, defined as a slaying of 4 people or more," Raskin said.

Yes.. The same definition the article I posted uses. "Slaying or shooting of four people" which you conveniently omitted

Proving the OP wrong

What's your point? Or is reading comprehension not your strong suit either?

Yep, gotta read and understand. One thing that's rarely reported is how many "mass" shootings never reached that magic number of four victims becuase someone with a gun stopped the shooter. Also never mentioned is how many of the people performing the "mass" shootings were using illegally obtained firearms, and more importantly, had a previous record of the illegal use of firearms. Perhaps we we would be better served to actually punish people who obtain and use firearms illegally. First offense in commision of a crime is five hard years. Second is 20. Third is death, two appeals and done.

So the congressman explicitly says "defined as a slaying of 4 or more" and you rewrite it as slaying or shooting 4 or more" and he's the one that's wrong? You really like that "short bus" label don't you.

In California they cannot even get a conviction on a 5 time deported alien who killed a person on the street. Mumia Abdul Jamal killed a police officer and didn't get executed,Bo Bergdahl committed treason and got 6 people killed and he walks free and they are talking about paying him back pay, perhaps in Texas the death penalty is a threat, but in most states the threat is a joke. Even if the penalty is carried out it takes years and years. Nope the death penalty is out.

read the article people

"Gun Violence Archive defines a mass shooting as a single incident in which four or more people, not including the shooter, are "shot and/or killed" at "the same general time and location."

Does that change the fact that the politican quoted the shot and/or killed as soley killed? No, it does not. He lied to make it seem worse. Which was the point.

We want the killing to stop we just don't agree that another stupid gun law will get the job done.

When gus are outlawed ,only outlaws will have guns.

"Gun Violence Archive defines a mass shooting .....

ONLY Progressives use data like that to inflate numbers ....

people with critical think skills without an AX to grind do not

you Progressives cannot get enough traction with very rare shootings like

San Bernardino
Orlando, FL
Newtown
Columbine, Colorado
Luby's shooting Kileen Tx
San Ysidro
Aurora, Colorado
Virginia Tech

so you change the definition to fit your agenda, now you want to include some druggie killing or family affair

"Since January, we've had 397 gun massacres in America, defined as a slaying of 4 people or more," Raskin said.

To put this in words all may understand, Raskin is literally saying that at least 1588 people were killed in these "massacres".

Proving the OP wrong

If the OP correctly quoted Raskin - he is simply wrong.
Slaying means death, not injury. So he's just wrong.

Now he may have "meant" to say otherwise, but that's not what happened.
You know, like 57 states.

I doubt you got through, Sappy is repeatedly shown the truth, and doubles down, or rolls out the Rusty Trailer Attacks
