She wasn't raped...she was killed.

She wasn't killed in public she was killed in her own home.

She could have been armed in her own home. Of course she also could have moved in with her mom/dad for a few weeks till things cooled off. Of course, the husband should have been required to surrender any firearms he owned (yeah that oughta blow up your tiny mind) while the protective order was in place...

The only saving grace was that the POS husband didn't shoot the kids that were playing in the basement.
