But Professional Golfers Association player Lucas Glover had an even worse tournament. He started out great, shooting 68 on Thursday, and followed that with a one-under-par 71 on Saturday. But he shot a whopping 78 on Saturday, with six bogies on the back nine, and was cut before the final day. Still, he pulled in $21,340, not bad for three days' work.
His wife didn't think so. When Glover returned to the home he had rented with his wife, Krista, and their two young children, she lit into him, according to police reports. She called him a "loser" and a "pussy" before physically attacking him, police said.
Lucas told deputies how “when he plays a bad round of golf, Krista proceeds to start an altercation with him and telling him how he is a loser and a [pussy], how he needs to fire everyone, and how he’d better win or her and the kids would leave him and he would never see the kids again,” the police report said, according to the Daily Mail.
