Actor Jackson Odell has died. His family has released a statement to the media confirming his death at age 20.

You may remember him as Erica's friend on The Goldbergs, or the kid who lied about writing the poem Manny actually wrote on Modern Family.

Minor leaguer, for sure, but following in the time honored footsteps of other Hollyweirdos who never got the "Just Say No" message.

I know that we don't watch a lot of well known shows, but we do watch a lot of TV - but almost no half-hour comedies.
I just don't think they're entertaining or funny.

There have been exactly two shows in the last twenty years on TV that actually have made me
laugh out loud - and that's Big Bang Theory (but largely because I'm a big nerd and GET some jokes
that aren't explicit) and How I Met Your Mother (which I think executed some jokes with impeccable timing).
Most of the time, most stuff doesn't register the smallest sense of funny in me.
