Trump aides urged to get a gun

Facing a new wave of potentially dangerous threats, called for by a top Democratic lawmaker, legal and gun experts are calling on top Trump aides to get their concealed carry permit and back it up with a pistol.

"There are simply not enough police in D.C. or Virginia or Maryland to protect all Trump officials at their homes and when they go out to restaurants. Getting a concealed handgun permit would be helpful to protect themselves and their family,” said John R. Lott Jr., president of the influential Crime Prevention Research Center.

“High level officials in the Trump administration, especially if their faces are likely to be recognized by many in the public as a result of appearances on TV, might want to consider applying for a license to carry a concealed weapon in the District of Columbia, and/or other states they frequent, in view of the call by Rep. Maxine Waters for the public to ‘absolutely harass’ these officials in public places, and other recent events indicating the increased danger they are in,” added public interest law professor John Banzhaf.

Homeland Security employees warned of increased threats amid immigration uproar

The acting deputy secretary of homeland security warned employees Saturday that "there may be a heightened threat" against them, according to a memo obtained by CBS News. The warning comes amid the increasing furor over the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" immigration policy.

"This assessment is based on specific and credible threats that have been levied against certain DHS employees and a sharp increase in the overall number of general threats against DHS employees -- although the veracity of each threat varies," says the message from Claire M. Grady. "In addition, over the last few days, thousands of employees have had their personally identifiable information publically [sic] released on social media."

(WASHINGTON) — Department of Homeland Security employees are seeing violent threats with greater frequency because of the president’s immigration policy, according to an official with knowledge of a recent threat assessment.

The department determined that there was a “heightened threat against DHS employees” in response to recent government actions surrounding immigration, according to a letter sent to employees over the weekend.

“This assessment is based on specific and credible threats that have been levied against certain DHS employees and a sharp increase in the overall number of general threats against DHS employees,” Claire Grady, acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security, wrote to employees on Saturday.

What is really needed in this country is a law that makes Concealed Carry the same as a Drivers license, recognized by every state.
Some states like New Jersey and New York have laws so crazy that even the thought of crossing either with a legally obtained Concealed Carry permit and a weapon can get you locked up for a long period of time.

It's crazy that even with the 2nd. Amendment authorizing us to carry without a permit we have to be aware that in some states we cannot cross to a sane state with our legal weapon.

Now that's the fallacy of telling a trump employee to arm themselves. If they visit one of these crazed states they go to jail.

Having said this > That crazy woman from California has lost her freaking mind.
TDS has invaded her brain to a point where she is certifiably insane.
Urging people to get in the face of others who are not bothering them and out with their families for a meal.

She should be impeached. (If that is the term) A politician urging disturbing the peace, and harassment of Americans because they disagree with her .
And people like her---TDS insanity--are the reason we cannot get decent legislation.
For real--is Schumer or Pelosi any better? They have been tying the Congress into knots for months now.

For no other reason, than they lost.
This is the face of the Congressional Black Caucus, and the Democrat party.----------------and it's a damned ugly one.

And they have the BALLS to accuse Trump of being divisive.

Why do some folks get the paradigm that carried firearms have to be concealed?
Where does the Second Amendment state concealed carry?
In Free States you carry any firearm anyway you like.

Agree'd.

However I tend to see a slight advantage in not displaying all your resources.

But, it kinna sets the tone and makes a statement open carrying a stainless Para P14 in condition one.
But for me, I'm typically a baggy polo shirt carry guy.

And so it begins.

Leftists will now cry about this and wet their pants, but they did it to themselves. I have no doubt they thought they could riot in the streets and attack whomever they pleased without repercussion. When Trump declares martial law and has them all locked up, they will have only themselves to blame for that, too.

This would have turned out differently if DC has Concealed Carry

According to USA Today's political reporter on the scene, Antifa went after just about anyone who crossed their path — an unfortunate situation for a woman and a man wearing pro-Trump t-shirts as they meandered through downtown Washington, D.C. (they do not appear to have been part of the Unite the Right rally).

It would be different, thats for sure, but maybe not in favor of the armed person. It's hard to tell. Mobs cannot be fought with a single, or even two weapons. Unless you bring a command presence into play after firing in the air or into a member or two of the crowd, you are just as likely to trigger the mob into tearing you apart as to stand them down. Even mastadons learned to fear mobs of humans, for good reason.

That antifa mobs are most likely to simply break in panic and run away from the source of the gun fire...

I tend to agree, blast off a half dozen 147 grainers into the crowd and it will end the stupidness.
Along with a few leaking malcontents to arrest..
