Annual Potomac Jazz and Seafood Festival coming up next month

Get ready for this popular jazz music festival taking place on Saturday, July 14th from 12PM-9PM at the St. Clement's Island Museum in Coltons Point. This event, in addition to being a unique musical experience, is the largest fund raising event for Friends of the St. Clement's Island and Piney Point Museums. The funds raised from this event will support historical interpretation, education programs, and various needs of all properties and sites managed by the museum. Support local historical maintenance, preservation, and education through this fun jazz music and food-filled celebration.

This event is very popular, so grab your ticket soon before they're all gone! Your ticket includes entrance to the festival with parking included. All food and beverage are available for additional costs.

Some of the delicious seafood selections will include: crab cakes, oysters, shrimp, and rockfish. There will also be non-seafood options available, such as: ribs, barbecue, salads, sides, and desserts. Beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic will be available as well. The food vendors attending this event are: Chief's, Mrs. Moo's Corner, New Orleans by MyRA, and Mike's Bar-B-Que & Catering.

The first jazz artist will perform at 3PM, however, all ticket-holders are able to arrive early and enjoy a complimentary boat ride tour of St. Clement's Island - starting at noon. Seating for the performances is lawn only, so bring your own blankets or chairs.

It is $65 + convenience fee if you buy by phone by 5 PM today or online before midnight tonight. And no, the price has gone up over the years but for 3 acts AND local, you can't beat the value! Heck, the tickets I got for George Thorogood at CMM were $51 a piece.

I don't recall how much it was when I went with you before. That was over 10 years ago!

You got L's ticket for free since they couldn't go so for you - nothing. I believe it was 2009 and Jaared was the headliner. It came up in my FB memories a few days ago. My memory is good but not that good.

Tickets were $50 in 2009. So in 9 years the price has gone up $15. Not so bad considering how much everything else has gone up.

Oh okay. I do remember calling in the drunk driver on our way out of 7D and into Leonardtown!

Did you get my text message?

OMG, that was scary! How they didn't hit my car or something else was beyond me. Just thankful the cops were waiting for them in Leonardtown and got them off the road.

Did you get my text message?
    Obviously yes.
