This will be the funniest and probably most hypocritical post of the day (although it is early)....the person who thinks we won the Alamo and who is consistently wrong on basic factual info is admonishing others to get informed!!!

What a riot this place is!

Listen to me now, and believe me later: it doesn't matter how much you pump up those muscles, as long as you reach the full pumptential.

    Hey moron,

Since you, like so many on here, can't understand English allow me to explain:

My constant comment on here is not the informed level of "progressives".

It is the absolutely uninformed, uneducated and downright stupid statements that are made here on an hourly basis by people like you.

In other words, I don't express pride in "informed progressives". I express disgust at the level of ignorance displayed here on a daily, hourly basis.

    Understand?

Foster Jr. and later wrote much of the Starr Report — which included graphic details about then-President Bill Clinton’s relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
    • Under Bush, Kavanaugh was a top White House lawyer. In 2003, Bush appointed him to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Democrats stalled his nomination for three years before he was eventually appointed.
    • The judge grew up in Bethesda and attended Georgetown Preparatory School as well as Yale University and Yale Law School. He later clerked for Kennedy on the Supreme Court and is a friend of Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.
    • On the Court of Appeals, Kavanaugh has frequently provided a conservative opinion. In 2017, he was among three dissenting judges on a decision that allowed an immigrant teenager to get an abortion. At the time, he said the majority had "badly erred" and created a new right for undocumented immigrant minors in custody to "immediate abortion on demand."
    • Another decision swept aside a key pillar of Maryland's plan to reduce soot and smog. In 2012, Kavanaugh formed part of a panel that said the Environmental Protection Agency had overstepped its authority with the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, also known as the "good neighbor rule." The decision struck down a federal rule aimed at limiting air pollution crossing from one state to another.
    • In 2011, he said the court could not call Obamacare’s health insurance mandate unconstitutional until it had actually gone into effect.
I saw Ken Starr last night on a show and he was positively beaming with enthusiasm for this nomination.

While McCain is a no vote because of his illness (anyone who is so ill that they can't be present to perform their elected duties, especially something as important as appointing a SCOTUS justice, should resign) and Rand Paul may vote no because Kavanaugh is viewed as a DC insider, I believe there will be plenty of red state democrats that will vote yes to preserve their reelections; which will probably cause Durbin to pop his cork. It was easy for Durbin to throw his "fall on your sword" statement out there. He's from a blue state, and he's not even up for reelection. What a coward!
Durbin is a douche and always has been. These members of Congress in the minority party can just sit down and shut up because all of their : will do no good and in the long run, because Judge K is a great candidate and he will get confirmed.

I got up this morning - realized Trump got another SCOTUS pick - and it was a fantastic feeling. Winning.Every.Day.

Coming from the political side that believes they win just about everything they clearly lose, like elections.
“Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.".Daniel Webster
