"Yesterday's summit was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory," he said, quoting Sen. John McCain (clearly neither remembers that day in 1998 when President Bill Clinton lied and said he had not had "sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky").

In his own words, Schumer said: "When President Putin gives President Trump a strong and powerful denial, quote, unquote, that he didn't meddle in our elections, President Trump accepts Putin's words over the considered judgment of America's dedicated intelligence professionals. It's almost as if Donald Trump is embracing Putin's needs.

"I'm ashamed of it. Every American should be. No previous president would be that naive or that weak. No serious leader would allow themselves to be taken in so easily," Schumer said.

The Minority Leader said there are "five simple things" the Senate can do. He demands:

  • Trump's national security team testify before Congress about the private discussions in Helsinki
  • Trump stop attacking the Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller
  • Trump call for the extradition of the 12 Russians named in an indictment to the United States to stand trial
  • The Senate increase sanctions on Russia
  • Congress pass legislation to secure U.S. elections

  • [1] Trump's national security team testify before Congress about the private discussions in Helsinki
[2] Trump stop attacking the Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller
[3] Trump call for the extradition of the 12 Russians named in an indictment to the United States to stand trial
[4] The Senate increase sanctions on Russia
[5] Congress pass legislation to secure U.S. elections
[1] I'm guessing executive privilege would likely apply here. But even if it didn't, what's to prevent them for pulling a Lois Lerner or Lisa Page act and basically thumbing their noses at Congress?
[2] Fine...Congress, get the Justice Dept., FBI, et.al. to be 100% forthcoming and explain everything they know first...
[3] If this is so important of an issue, then why did the Justice Dept. “transition” — i.e., bury — in the National Security Division, a unit that deals with counterintelligence matters that do not result in public trials? Why doesn't the Special Counsel go to Russia to investigate these 12 as has been reportedly offered?
[4] What new sanctions does he want? If the House and/or Senate committees haven't come up with something to apply additional sanctions by now, why hasn't he introduced a resolution tot he Senate already?
[5] Again, why hasn't he already introduced legislation?

The Democrats are so anxious to destroy Trump that they will sell out the U.S. to do it.
The Intelligence agency is still working for Obama and cannot be trusted. They are leaders of a Presidential Coup attempt.
Brennan is and ass of the first water and a traitor himself.

Chuck Schumer would know the truth if it bit him on the ass.
The truth is that Schumer and the dem party are cooperating in this coup attempt and have been since Trump was nominated and won the Primary.
mad maxine has been screaming for impeachment from day one.

Why are the Democrats so afraid of peace between the U.S. and Russia.?
Why are they so frightened that Trump is talking to Putin?
Is it so hard to believe that the U.S. and Russia could be peaceful allies ?
The Democrats hate Putin , and they hate Trump.
yet it was the Democrats that gave 20% of our uranium to Russia.
And presented that more than stupid Reset button.

Obama told the Russians he would help them after the election--when he had more flexibility.
Where was that aszzhole Schumer that day?
