Amazon gets flak from Little People over ‘dwarf-tossing’ patent

I grew up in a college (read: lots of bars) city and I had never heard of dwarf tossing until I was well into adulthood. Why would anyone think this was an acceptable, or even remotely fun, pastime? And more importantly, why on earth would Amazon use it to illustrate their patent?

You have to wonder what people are thinking when they do stupid chit.

Stupid chit, yes. Been in a few bars around the globe and never saw any (dwarf) midget tossing. Guess I have been deprived :frown:

Again, the 'tech-bro' culture collides with political correctness.

Whatever engineer wrote that patent spec thought he was making a funny.

From the mercury news article:

Upon being informed about the Amazon patent, the Little People were not amused.

Did one of them say 'I'm not happy!' ?

It's pretty fun to throw them at a velcro wall...get 2 or 3 stuck to it at a time is pretty stupid funny... As to why? Money and notoriety...Notoriety being, "man, that was some pretty crazy/funny chit!! You're a wild man!...Lemme buy you a beer." Think of wee man from the jackass movies
