Does anyone know what is going in the spot where the Charlotte Hall Steak in a Sack was located? I see they are working on the inside finally. Thanks in advance for any info!

Wow. So Steak in a Sack is actually GONE now?
What is it with that spot? That location should be perfect for just about anything.

$1 says Nail Salon or Ethnic food.

I woulda thought a new financial services biz would be called for..should be a growth industry around here these days. Payday Loans, Car Title Loans, And Bail Bonds.

Been gone for a while...didn't last very long at all.

Never took off, and then they had a fire........ I hope they understood the negative effects of that name. Here in the office, I was the onyl one that ever tried it. Every other person, they simply refused to even entertain the notion of eating at a plce with "Sack" in the name. The negative connotation of "SacK" were just too much

I understand. I love deep-fried cubed pig nuts. I was gonna open up a carry-out place..."Nuts in a Sack to Go" was my first choice. Couldn't get the first investor interested...

See, I've been to the one up near Iverson Mall many times, and it's been in business longer than just about anything in the area.
It's not a palace, but the food is good - and popular. Lots of places are actual dives, but people like them anyway.
I remember when in Lusby, I was reluctant to go near a place called "The Frying Pan" just because of the name.
But it wasn't bad at all.

Near where my parents lived in Silver Spring, they had one of the first "Buffalo Wings and Beer".
It came down here - and tanked. I was so looking forward to it. But, just didn't happen.

Generally, down here, people want burgers, pizza, steak and Mexican. And if you can succeed outside that,
then great.
