August 14, 2018 - U.S. Voters Dislike Trump Almost 2-1, Quinnipiac
For those who can't understand the English...this is not a policy approval question...this is about Trump the human being. 59% dislike him as a person. This fits two things: 1. it is right in line with the 30-35% of people who will support this man no matter what he does or says (the prototypical somd.com forum poster). 2. It reinforces the fact that there was something wrong in the upbringing of those 30-35% of people. Trump's demeanor is that of a spoiled, vindictive and totally self absorbed child. He has no redeeming qualities.
That says a lot as well. Even among party loyalists, his likeability is terrible. That should be well up into the 80s.
All of you who sit on here and wonder why Trump's approval ratings aren't better because the economy is doing well just completely fail to understand that, as a person, Trump is everything you should teach your kids not to be.
46% of independents "disapprove strongly" of how Trump is handling the job as President. That this 10% more than "approve" with any level of satisfaction.
58% of total respondents don't think Trump is doing enough to help the middle class.
None of these numbers are really new. Trump's like/dislike numbers don't really move around much which is not a surprise. Trump sucks at being President. He has made no effort at all to "broaden the tent". He has made no effort at all to increase the size or appeal of the Republican party. He has made no effort at all to do anything for anyone...except himself. (Please don't mention tax cuts...that had nothing to do with Trump...that was Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.) That Trump has made no effort to help anyone but himself is also not surprising. The man has no deeply held values other than enriching himself. The man has no deeply held policy values.
Only 31 percent of American voters like President Donald Trump as a person, while 59 percent dislike him, according to a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today.

Republicans like Trump 66 - 24 percent, the only listed party, gender, education, age or racial group which likes him, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University National Poll finds.
