Argento was one of the first and most vocal accusers of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Asia Argento, the Italian actress who was one of the first to publicly accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, secretly paid off a young male actor accusing her of sexual misconduct in the months after her revelations about the disgraced movie mogul.

According to a report in The New York Times, Argento paid former child actor Jimmy Bennett $380,000. Bennett claims that in 2013, a then 37-year-old Argento assaulted him in a California hotel only two months past his 17th birthday. The age of consent in California is 18.

The Times reports that is has seen the legal documents that layout Bennett's assault claims and the payments arranged between his lawyers and Argento's.

Hollywood is a strange place. filled with strange people.
A 17 year old supposed male being traumatized by a piece of ass most men would love to have.
She pays this punk off.
Then sometime in her life she has this hideous tattoo put on her chest.

California-----------truly the land of fruits and nuts.

Asia Argento, let us not forget, was the longtime gal pal of Anthony Bourdain. So she's clearly crazy.

There are ZERO sane people in Hollywood.

Read enough about any one of them you find out they're Addicted to something, depressed, bi-polar, schizophrenic, neurotic, psychotic or just average ordinary Bat-#### Crazy!

Nothing like a good old shakedown:

Bennett’s income dropped from $2.7 million in the five years before the 2013 encounter to an average of $60,000 since, according to the documents. Sattro wrote that Bennett attributes the drop in income to the trauma of his sexual encounter with Argento.

He was a child star. At 18 they turn into pumpkins with very few successfully continuing in the acting field.

But yeah, a blow job and some pussy when he was old enough to enlist is what caused his career to come to an end.

It appears you don't believe in equality under the law. Would you say the same thing if the sexes were reversed? Some oral sex and some dick and her career came to an end?

Not sure what that has to do with 'equality under the law'. I assert that a child stars career ending after he ceases to be a child is the natural progression of things, not the result of a brief encounter in a hotel room. Wouldn't be any different for a female.

Careers schmeers. Nobody ever heard of Asia Argento until she went #metoo, and then people were like, "Oh yeah, Anthony Bourdain's girlfriend," if they even knew who he was. And yet somehow she is powerful enough to ruin this kid's "career"?

It was a shakedown, nothing more, and he is being paid to out her as a skeevy cougar. I'm guessing Weinstein's revenge, and we'll be seeing more of it. All these fainting starlets, virgins pure as the driven snow until evil Harvey deflowered them...

It will be interesting to see the fallout in Hollywood if none of the charges stick against Harvey... I had often wondered how women who maintained long term working relationships with him (Gwyneth Paltrow for example) could think their words would be considered valued testimony when there is tons documented evidence showing years upon years of voluntary interactions with Harvey in both public and private affairs.

His lawyer is laying the groundwork for such a defense... https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...gy-police-misconduct-victim-actresses-1153774

See... I believe there is horrid behavior and abuses in Hollywood. I do indeed... but I have a problem with those who accepted and became a participant of these horrid behaviors and abuses because that was the expected/typical response if you wanted to be in the business. It makes them participants by free will. No, it does not justify the behavior of the aggressors, but does it make it criminal? Being drugged and raped is criminal (Cosby), but is agreeing to participate in return for career advancement criminal? This excerpt from the article sums up the dilemma that may very well be why Harvey walks... keep in mind the dude is defending the idea of criminally charging someone that is guilty of bad (but not criminal) behavior. This mindset should scare the F out of everyone.

Chiarello discussed how a benefit of the #MeToo movement was that it allowed other women to identify with accusers and come forward with their own stories. He defended Paltrow as not seeking anything but merely sharing something that she saw as consistent with other accounts of Weinstein's behavior. He said Brafman was missing the point and said there needed to be accountability for inappropriate behavior. "To focus on what is criminal is counterproductive to the #metoo movement and creates a standard that if it doesn't rise to criminal, we shouldn't care about it," he added.

You lie with dogs, you get fleas.

But as women that condoned his behavior and then act as though it is such a surprise is shameless. Don't then jump ship and join the #metoo movement. That's an insult to all women that were subjected to such behavior.

I found it interesting that even Courtney Love knew better than to go to a room with Harvey and she had no dealings with him. But she told the world in 2005.

Harvey Weinstein Accusers Want to Ban Him From Disclosing Their Emails to the Media

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...-want-ban-him-disclosing-emails-media-1169366

Weinstein's attorneys respond in a statement, "The seeking of this protective order comes as no surprise. The plaintiffs in the Geiss case know that it is only a matter of time until the bankruptcy court releases Harvey Weinstein’s emails to the public. There is no privileged or confidential information contained in the emails, and in fact, they demonstrate a drastically different tale from what the plaintiffs have alleged in the media and in their legal complaint. Ironically, they are trying to silence Mr. Weinstein and doing all they can to prevent the truth from coming out. This strategy will not bode well, as they are going behind the bankruptcy court’s back, which has sole jurisdiction over these emails and the plaintiffs know it. To claim sexual assault and then take such measures to prevent the truth from being heard speaks volumes of their motives.”
