Parsing the WH statement...

Here is the WH statement on the "deal" with Mexico. (Interestingly, they had this ready to go but still have made no official comment on the passing of Sen. McCain...low class and swampy as always.)

Some interesting notes: no where does this specifically state that it will reduce the trade deficit with Mexico. So that is a big lose for Trump as that was his sole reason for wanting to renegotiate.

It uses the typical misleading statement about the growth of our trade deficit with Mexico...yes it grew...but trade between the 3 countries tripled over that time period. Trump and his cultists continue to ignore that basic fact.

The final section is the most interesting

NEGOTIATING FOR THE AMERICAN WORKER: President Trump has made it a priority of his Administration to replace unfair deals with free, fair, and reciprocal trade.
•Since taking office, President Trump has undertaken multiple trade negotiations in addition to NAFTA that will benefit American workers.
•President Trump reached an agreement with the European Commission to work toward zero tariffs, increase energy exports, reduce non-tariff barriers, and address unfair trade.
•Keeping another campaign promise, the Trump Administration successfully secured key amendments to the trade agreement with South Korea to strengthen our manufacturing base.

Trump's "deal" with the EU was a joke. There was no "deal"...there was no agreement to do anything beyond what was already on the table.

Trump's "deal" with South Korea did nothing. It double car imports from the US from 25k to 50K...this is nothing because we aren't even selling the 25k.

These are being used of indications of what Trump accomplished??? :roflmao:

I think I will wait for a creditable source.
Any source you use is contaminated.

Why are you hung up on this? They didn't like each other. Being dead might make him a little more likeable, but a little late.
