It was a huge announcement by former U.S. District Attorney and current powerhouse lawyer, Joe DiGenova last night when he announced that Rod Rosenstein, the high-ranking DOJ official at the center of the Trump/Russia hoax, is now under investigation. If true it is confirmation of the long-standing rumors that the Trump White House has quietly been moving against the Deep State with its own investigations and one or more very significant bombshell revelations are about to drop. Rosenstein has been a highly effective Deep State firewall at the DOJ, slow-walking document requests and giving vast powers over to the anti-Trump Mueller investigation.

Given your distrust for the actual media (not dcwhispers.com), you both actually believe this? No confirmation and not a peep beyond right wing websites and not even a wimper of skepticism in this case?

This is the same guy who said Rosenstein should "rot in hell" for what "he has put this country through" and blamed this entire investigation on Rosenstein. I'm sure no bias there.

Confirmation bias occurs from the direct influence of desire on beliefs. When people would like a certain idea/concept to be true, they end up believing it to be true. They are motivated by wishful thinking. This error leads the individual to stop gathering information when the evidence gathered so far confirms the views (prejudices) one would like to be true.

Once we have formed a view, we embrace information that confirms that view while ignoring, or rejecting, information that casts doubt on it. Confirmation bias suggests that we don’t perceive circumstances objectively. We pick out those bits of data that make us feel good because they confirm our prejudices. Thus, we may become prisoners of our assumptions.

DiGenova may have been referring to this:

Separately, Meadows, along with Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, have asked Horowitz to investigate allegations that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to subpoena records from congressional staffers pursuing the surveillance warrant issue.

The allegations were first documented in a June report by Fox News. At the time, a DOJ official told Fox News that Rosenstein “never threatened anyone in the room with a criminal investigation.” The official said the department and bureau officials in the room “are all quite clear that the characterization of events laid out here is false,” adding that Rosenstein was responding to a threat of contempt.
