According to a recent map, provided by the US Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service and highlighted by the farmdoc project at the University of Illinois, the net cash farm income has decreased in every American region in comparison to 2017.

Whether or not it is a forecast is of no concern to me - what does is, what exactly does it measure, because at least part of it includes all other forms of income - which might include a government payment. It's a very volatile statistic, which was higher during the Obama years, but has since resumed a stable but lower value. I can't find why it would have been much higher during years of high unemployment and very slow economic growth.

So this chart specifically is a bit imprecise - and since it's broad, some kinds of farming are hit harder - this year, dairy.

Lastly - this is a broad measure which doesn't necessarily directly show things like debt, which is a huge contributor.

Yep Business Optimism is up, workers are getting bonuses, taxes are down, tax receipts to the IRS are up, unemployment is at an all time low 3.8% record lows for Blacks and Hispanics
