Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, is refusing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her accusation against Kavanaugh, a GOP lawmaker said Tuesday.

Ramirez lawyer John Clune tweeted Tuesday that "We have been working hard to cooperate with the Senate Judiciary Committee...and they have refused to meet all scheduled appointments." He said Ramirez wants an FBI investigation, not a congressional investigation, and is willing to "swear to the FBI under penalty of perjury."

A top Judiciary Committee GOP aide told the Washington Examiner in response to the Clune claim, "The Ramirez legal team has declined to comply with the committee’s established process and investigation and seem to prefer working through the media."

GOP lawmaker: Second Kavanaugh accuser refusing to talk to Congress

1) there is NOTHING for the FBI to Investigate
2) Fallen down, cannot get off of the Floor Drunks do not make credible witnesses
3) There are gaps in her story and a lack of first-hand witnesses.

If this is their desire, does that mean that they have gone to the FBI and filed a complaint? That's how to get an investigation started.

Of course, this is not within the FBI's jurisdiction but I am sure they can explain that to the lawyer.

This is good news, though. It means they figured out that when you want to charge someone with a crime, you go to law enforcement not politicians. When you want to create political havoc, you go to politicians, not law enforcement. Maybe this means that in a few years, if Brett was the one who did this sophomoric thing when he was a sophomore, he can get the punishment he so justly deserves for it. Oh, wait if it WAS him, he can't lose his quad privileges anymore. Oh well.

First what is the crime? was she raped?? When did the FBI start investigating some drunken girl getting felt up. They would have to put on a lot of extra people if they started investigating that.

I understand her claim to be that a college student flashed a penis at her. The normal first line of defense against such things is the campus student-affairs, then the city/county police.

No one can corroborate her story, as reported by the New York Times when they said they asked "dozens" of people who should have had first-hand knowledge, and to a one they denied it happened or had no memory of anything like that.

This leads to the second line of defense, which would be this accuser seeking professional psychiatric help.

That said, what I am in agreement with is that she should not be talking to a Senate panel, but law enforcement if she thinks something happened. She's right in that, she should.
