Great era. What I miss most about the earlier days of NASCAR, Trans Am, etc was the fact that they built engines up from their respective production line sources and the "good" parts would eventually become available and trickle down to us home-brew builders. Even in the 90s I was still buying used engine components cast off from NASCAR shops.

Not to mention you could tell the cars apart a hell of a lot easier.

The bodies are all the same, they used to have to fit templates but now they scan them in the 'Disco Tent' with cameras/lasers.

Decals on the front and back is the only difference.
