Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short.”

This song is sung right after they toss Satan out of Heaven. It's a yay.... Satan is gone.... oopps... watch out earth.... song.

This is from the amazingdiscoveries.org site.

The event of the death, resurrection, and enthronement of Jesus constitutes the decisive battle of the great controversy. It was at the cross that Satan was defeated (John 12:31-32; Luke 10:17-19). The proclamation goes forth: “Now the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down.”

Satan is the “accuser of the brethren.” Zechariah 3:1. He presents to us and to God every sin, mistake and character flaw as a reason that we should belong to him as his rightful prey, but “the blood of the lamb” “cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7. His “blood,” His strength and righteousness and sacrifice, joined to the “word of their testimony,” is powerful to overcome Satan. Our personal knowledge and love of Jesus binds us to Christ and His saving power. Our advocate says to Satan, “The Lord rebuke thee. Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?” Zechariah 3:2.

Christ’s faithful people “loved not their lives unto the death.” They would rather die than dishonor Him. They love Jesus more than the trivial pleasures to be gleaned from a few decades of mortal existence. With Jesus as their Shepherd they do not fear the devil’s “great wrath.”

I think we're in agreement. Yippee....

This commentary is from the easy English site.

John saw Satan and his angels fall from heaven. Then John heard a loud voice in heaven. The voice said that now God would rescue his people. God will use his power and his kingdom will come. Jesus Christ will soon rule the earth. He will rule on this earth for a thousand years (chapter 20).

Now Satan could not go to God in heaven. From the start, he had been there day and night.

All the time he accused God’s people of sin. But now the Lord threw him out of heaven.

The defeat of Satan was not merely the work of angels. Jesus died and he rose again from death. This is how Jesus defeated Satan.

Those who believed in Jesus Christ overcame Satan. The blood of the Lamb had removed all their sins. So, Satan had no reason to continue to accuse them. They spoke the truth about God and Satan had no answer to it. They were willing to die if necessary and they were not afraid of death.

Those who believe in Jesus Christ share in his success. What Jesus achieved, he did for God’s people. This is the defeat of Satan.

The war in heaven has ended. Satan has failed. The Lord has sent Satan away. Those who live in heaven can be happy.

The Lord threw the devil down onto the earth. The devil will know that his end is near. He will have a short time when he will continue to work on the earth. He will be angry, fierce and cruel. During this short time, it will be terrible for those who live on the earth.

This short time means the same three and a half years as in verse 6. At the end of that time, Christ will arrest Satan. Chains will bind Satan and he will remain in the great hole for a thousand (1000) years.

Ok... two things have to happen here.... God threw Satan and his cohorts out of Heaven.... that was step one.... but now "Oh NO!" Satan is here on earth and he's angry. This means an angry angel is loose on earth with humans..... humans who have had their peace taken from them.... humans who have been rocked by earthquakes, meteorite showers, darkness, fighting, hunger... oh and don't forget those bug bites that made them want to die..... vulnerable humans are such a ripe target for an angry Satan. There going to be some damage on earth before Jesus gets Satan and his cohorts rounded up and chained. Humans will have to hide until Jesus gets Satan locked up in that huge abyss. I wonder.... are there more of those bugs left in the abyss.... are those bugs going to have a grand feast on Satan and their cohorts?

So in these verses.... the angels in Heaven are jumping for joy... yippee...that stupid Satan has been running his yap, complaining about humans for way too long"...... but the angels on earth [Satan's cohorts]... they are the ones crying "oh no!".... remember... by the time this happens.... the Believers are well protected in Heaven... under the alter.... watching Satan get his....
