Every time he opens his mouth, I'm liking this guy even more. I hope his conversational tone will spread. Nail down exactly what you are talking about, refuse to play word games, and then discuss specifics. Almost an exact blueprint for how reasoned debate is supposed to work.

Mr. Crenshaw comports himself well.

His points had no validity but at least he handles himself like an adult unlike our President who comports himself like a 5 year old girl.

What has Trump done to undermine our Democracy?? From his claims that if he didn't win the election then the system was rigged, to his "Fake news" and "enemy of the people" portrayal of any media outlet that doesn't treat him as omnipotent, to raging about his crowd size in front of the CIA stars, to the Muslim ban, to the firing of Comey "due to this Rusher thing", to divulging secrets to the Russians in the Oval office, to separating children from their parents at the border, to his "good people on both sides" when referring to Nazi/White Supremacists, to his destruction of international treaties with no replacement in mind, to his stating that the role of the Senate is to protect him from Mueller....and on and on and on.

Trump is a buffoon...he has no idea how our system of govt works. He has no functional leadership capabilities.

So, ignoring all the trump blather. How do his points have no validity? Explain without ranting about Trump. Note nobody on that panel addressed his points, they just blathered as well. He agreed Trumps style leaves some to be desired, I agree with that, Trumps blather is annoying and less than statesmanlike at best. But at worst it's not any threat to our democracy. Reporters continue reporting, liberals are free to explode their heads as often as they like. There are no camps, nobody is being detained for criticizing him. Books are not being burned. Elections are not being overturned, voters are not being disenfranchised.

So where are these supposed "Threats to our democracy"? Real ones, not pearl clutching heavy breathing made up things. Oh, and they should be threats to the Republic, not our "democracy" which isn't even a thing.

What has Trump done to undermine our Democracy?? .................

Crickets. Seriously, you could make a case that those things are ANNOYING, but they don't undermine democracy.
Now, using the Espionage Act against the press, spying on citizens and political opponents, weaponizing the IRS,
forcing the shutdown of coal-fired plants, electronic spying on citizens - THESE sorts of things are ACTUALLY
undermining democracy, rather than simply SAY things that hurt liberal's feelings. Separating children? We KNOW
Obama did the same, just fewer. Obama undermined democracy - if the Obamacare mandate alone isn't proof,
that the government can compel you to buy something you don't want.

The press isn't the enemy of the people, but lately they've been the enemy of the truth. As long as one narrative
dominates the news cycle, it doesn't have to be TRUE. We now have an enormous portion of Democratic voters
who believe in a Russian collusion story that has less credibility than the Obama birth certificate controversy.
By plying the same story, we have two thirds of Democratic voters who actually believe the Russians tampered
with the vote totals and gave an election to Trump rather than Hillary. It doesn't matter that even the press has
admitted it's not true - the story persists because his detractors keep it alive. For God's sake, if this was Watergate,
Trump would have resigned, got on the plane and left the White House last summer, following the same timeline,
and at least with Nixon, there were verifiable and visible *crimes*.

We have news stories out there being ridiculously portrayed by the press as a woe-begotten ragtag caravan of
refugees from a perilous nation - whose flag they patriotically fly - who are walking along except for the buses
that carry them (because walking would take months) - who are just fleeing tyranny but crash right through a border
fence in Mexico and curse the leaders of the U.S. - who are offered sanctuary in Mexico but refuse - who are portrayed
as women and children, and yet any reporter there admits, it's almost entirely young men. It's a political stunt;
it's always been one. And the press wants to portray it otherwise.

When we in the West would hear how stories were portrayed in the Communist bloc, such as in Russia or East Germany
back at the height of the Cold War, we knew the pattern. It was a complete fiction written by the press, to make
the West look corrupt, immoral and decadent.

It was undermining the truth. It's what undermining democracy is - when they make ####e up, the press is doing it.

Apparently he knew enough to win the Presidential election and become the 45th President of these United States... which is a helluva lot more than I can say for you :coffee:

Mr. Crenshaw comports himself well.

His points had no validity but at least he handles himself like an adult

Unlike YOU who throws a :tantrum with every post

unlike our President who comports himself like a 5 year old girl.

Trump is a blow hard, but you are exaggerating

What has Trump done to undermine our Democracy??

Anyone or Anything that does not conform to YOUR World View is Either Ignorant, Uneducated, Propaganda or Selfish ..... a Russian Bot or a Russian Troll From Minsk

Every post you make is against anyone or any group that doesn't conform to your propagandist viewpoints.

From his claims that if he didn't win the election then the system was rigged,

How is claiming an election might be rigged if he did not win a threat to Democracy  arrogant perhaps but a threat to Democracy hardly

to his "Fake news" and "enemy of the people"

Reporters and Journalists LYING about what is REALLY going on is a threat .... as much as YOU Rail about Propaganda and how I sow decision ..... what YOU lack is clarity to see what is really going on - CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC ... etc should be REPORTING the news ..... not making opinion based news stories

Trump steps on his dick enough they should be merely reporting what HAPPENED ... but no EVERY Report has a Progressive Spin - a world view YOU Agree with, so You cannot see the BIAS

portrayal of any media outlet that doesn't treat him as omnipotent,

:bs: Trump has not Called Fox News Fake [yet]

to raging about his crowd size in front of the CIA stars,

How is bragging about Crowd Size a Threat to Democracy - self aggrandizing maybe, a threat to our System of Gov. No Even Close

to the Muslim ban,

There was NO Muslim Ban - the EO was Upheld by SCOTUS

Limited Visa from : Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen

Leaving - Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan

to the firing of Comey "due to this Rusher thing",

 Who is Rusher ? Comey was dirty and deserved firing

to divulging secrets to the Russians in the Oval office,

:gossip: Trump is the Chief he has the Authority to declassify anything as he see's fit

National Security Adviser McMaster: Trump's Revelations to Russians 'Wholly Appropriate'

to separating children from their parents at the border,

You Prefer Children be lock up with their parents  [a policy that started in 1997]

The Media Are Lying About Trump Separating Illegal Immigrant Families. Here’s The Truth.

1. Trump Created Separation Of Children From Illegal Immigrant Parents. This is plainly false. In 1997, the federal government made an agreement in a case called Flores not to keep unaccompanied illegal immigrant children in custody beyond 20 days. The settlement said nothing about accompanied illegal immigrant children – children who crossed the border with their parents. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals then ruled that accompanied children also could not be held in custody under the terms of the settlement. This meant that the government either had to release whole families, or that the government had to separate parents from children.

clip

But with that said, the media coverage of this issue has been patently irresponsible. Trump isn’t forcing children away from parents. He’s enforcing the law on the books. The legislature can fix that law at any time. The facilities he’s using are the same facilities Obama used. Pretending that this is Japanese internment (as Laura Bush suggested) or the Holocaust (as General Michael Hayden suggested) is ridiculous. This policy ought to be fixed. But lying about it isn’t designed to fix it. It’s designed to prevent a fix by allowing Democrats to play political football with children, believing they’re winning a victory by holding Trump’s feet to the fire with pictures of crying children.

to his "good people on both sides" when referring to Nazi/White Supremacists,

Again Progressive Spin - NOT Everyone Present was a Nazi or White Supremacists

to his destruction of international treaties with no replacement in mind,

Yep something you just have to get out of .... again does not fit the Progressive Global World View so you hate it

the Treaty with Russia was due to expire soon, Russia had been violating THAT Treaty for YEARS
Paris Climate Treaty was a JOKE - Member countries still in the agreement have yet to meet the requirements

to his stating that the role of the Senate is to protect him from Mueller .... and on and on and on.

WTF are you talking about

Trump is a buffoon ...

Fantasy, Supposition, Innuendo and Unfounded OPINION

he has no idea how our system of govt works.

Trump may misspeak, make bold grand sweeping statements in the heat of the Moment - he is The PRESIDENT - you are on the internet whining from a keyboard

He has no functional leadership capabilities.

YOU Fantasy, Supposition, Innuendo and Unfounded OPINION

you don't get where Trump is not being able get things done ... aka be a leader

Apparently he knew enough to win the Presidential election and become the 45th President of these United States... which is a helluva lot more than I can say for you :coffee:

I've watched the fortunes of business leaders like Lee Iacocca and Mitch Kapor rise - and fall. These among others, were the big names in the 80's.
And there was Donald Trump out there in Atlantic City, when I was working drywall during the boom there in the 70's and 80's.
These other guys? They're gone - but the "buffoon" has somehow managed to stumble his way through business where other legends have
vanished. (In all fairness - some of them have *retired*, having made enough to coast on by). I remember listening to a keynote from Robert Palmer,
then CEO of Digitial Corporation. Remember that company? It's gone - long gone. And Trump is still going.

I can't guess just how STUPID you'd have to be to continue to succeed after forty years - but he clearly knows something I don't.
He knows one thing that some other politicians have not learned - if you're going to get horrendous pushback from your opponents,
it's never going to pay to be nice about it. Trump is the George Patton of politics - you might debate his efficacy, but he is combative because
in his world, he has to be.
