Texas ObamaCare Blunder

As for the politics, Democrats claim to be alarmed by the ruling but the truth is they’re elated. They want to use it to further pound Republicans for denying health insurance for pre-existing conditions if the law is overturned. Democrats campaigned across the country against Mr. Paxton’s lawsuit to gain House and Senate seats in November, and they will now press votes in Congress so they can compound the gains in 2020.

President Trump hailed the ruling in a tweet, but he has never understood the Affordable Care Act. His Administration has done good work revising regulations to reduce health-care costs and increase access, but the risk is that the lawsuit will cause Republicans in Congress to panic politically and strike a deal with Democrats that reinforces ObamaCare. This is what happens when conservatives fall into the liberal trap of thinking they can use the courts to achieve policy goals that need to be won in Congress.

Pre-existing conditions and remaining on parent's policy until 26 are the two - and possibly only two - most popular
parts of the ACA. What would surprise most on the left is that those two items are supported by Republicans
in their efforts to offer alternatives to Obamacare, and have been since they began creating them.

Interesting article comrade...did you read it? Have you been paying attention to the garbage you have been posting over the past 3 years (doubtful since you often post the exact same article multiple times)

The mess that is healthcare now---as opposed to the mess that was healthcare before 2017--is not the result of R's following the "liberal trap" of using the courts. It is the result of the R's (and in particular our inept, incompetent and unfit President) having nothing to offer as an alternative.

Since the ACA was enacted every Republican has run around the country proclaiming it's horrors and proclaiming to the Earth and the heavens above that they would immediately replace it if they could just gain control of Congress and the WH. Well they got control...they failed to repeal the ACA...to date they have offered no comprehensive replacement for the American electorate to consider.

During the midterm elections, a time when this lawsuit was making its way thru the courts, Republicans (including that same inept incompetent and unfit President) were running around proclaiming their love for and undying commitment to pre-exisitng conditions.

That same buffoon of a President even tweeted:

Republicans will totally protect people with Pre-Existing Conditions, Democrats will not! Vote Republican.

No, comrade, this isn't a case of falling into a liberal trap, this is the same case it has been: R's have no idea what they want on this topic. They have offered no solution. They have no message...in fact they push conflicting messages.

Yup, D's are going to beat R's over the head with this court ruling. R's earned it.

What's there to feel sorry about?

As I see this, conservatives said, "you can't do that." SCOTUS said, "we're the government, and we'll do whatever the fuch we want." SCOTUS said it was ok, because it is a tax for not complying, therefore you don't have to comply. Republicans took out the tax, so a federal judge said, "whelp, the only reason SCOTUS said it was ok was the tax, there's no tax, so by associative property it's no longer constitutional."

I'm not sure where the reason to feel sorry for anyone is.

I've read in other articles that Rep Congress critters are pissed at state-level officials in solidly Rep states for dumping this in their laps. Now they'll have to deal with it, and unfortunately for them the Dems now control the house. They're scared about their reelection chances.

Is it even possible for you to make a simple statement without an opening diatribe?

They should be. What have they done to deserve re-election.?
They don't back the President and they let the Dems walk all over them.

I am hard pressed to stay in the party
