An attorney for the charity, Alan Futerfas, called the attorney general's statement "misleading," saying the foundation had been seeking to dissolve since Trump's election in 2016.




I'll wait until a real news organization reports on the machinations of the NY State suit

It's a New York feud

The investigation into the Trump Foundation was launched under former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (D), who abruptly resigned from the job earlier this year after allegations of abuse.

Trump had repeatedly targeted Schneiderman long before his campaign and presidency, first going after him on Twitter in 2013 and continuing to do so in the years since.

The former attorney general filed a lawsuit against Trump University that same year, alleging the company engaged in illegal business practices and made false claims to consumers. Trump agreed to settle the lawsuit, as well as two others filed over the company, in November 2016, just days after he won the presidential election.

Trump's legal battles with Schneiderman continued into his presidency, with the former attorney general repeatedly suing the administration and often taking the lead in lawsuits from several states.

Trump also invoked Schneiderman in his tweets over the lawsuit filed Thursday, calling him “disgraced” and “run out of town.” It’s a sign that Trump’s feud with the former official still lingers, even if he’s no longer in office.

cuomo and his criminal cronies have been after Trump for years. Once sweethearts they suffered irreconcilable differences when Trump left cuomo's democratic boudoir. When Trump's money and influence were available to cuomo he fellated Trump daily. cuomo is dirty.

In December 2016, one month before his inauguration, then President-Elect Trump announced that he would dissolve the Trump Foundation to avoid "even the appearance of any conflict with my role as President". The New York Attorney General's office, however, blocked the dissolution, stating that the foundation "cannot legally dissolve" until its current investigation is completed.



Thank goodness they're shutting this thing down. $30M to St. Jude? Are you kidding me? What a waste of money! $102M (over five years) to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, The American Diabetes Association, Magic Johnson Foundation, and the Red Cross? I mean, are we seriously going to call these things "charity"? What a scam!

The not too bright one is you. Trump said before he was even elected that he was going to dissolve the Foundation. If your handlers didn't erase your memory every day you might remember that.

There are at least 12 investigations into Trump, Trump .org, Trumps charities. Surely even you can’t believe they are all spurious.

And remember when Trump said if you are being investigated by the FBI you Are probably guilty?

Why do you continue to excuse criminal behavior while demanding the Clintons be jailed for rumor and innuendo?

So what? Does that excuse himself dealing and using the foundation as his piggy bank? Even paying barrons $7 Boy Scout fee ? Stop excusing criminal behavior

Very few of these "investigations" are intended to produce any results. Every wannabe headliner democrat and liberal investigates Trump. They throw these investigations out to get the left media to publish and report on it so the people know how evil Trump is. These are frivolous, money wasting red herrings. They know full well nothing will come of their investigations but they are shiny objects that catch the sheep's eyes until another shiny object comes along. This is a design by the left and the media to continually cast Trump negatively.

So, spitbubble, why wasn't it dissolved before now? The entity only has $1.75M in assets. It is a charitable foundation. They write one check foe $1.75M to one charity and file the proper paperwork with the state. End of foundation. The whole process shouldn't take more than the time it takes for the check to clear.

The foundation isn't just being dissolved...it is being dissolved under judicial oversight...Trump attorney stipulated to that. You can read the stipulations here: https://ag.ny.gov/sites/default/files/stipulation_re_dissolution_execution_version.pdf

You might also take note of items 6 and 7 in the stipulation agreement.

So just to reiterate and I will type s-l-o-w-l-y so you can understand...this is a forced dissolution forced upon the Trump Foundation. This is not being done willingly.
