Yeah, I know , 7 pages have been been filled with commentary about the new format. But so far, I like it. However by most standards, I was around with the dinosaurs.

I'd like to hear them experiment with an all Metal format, across all sub-genres thereof.
Gotta like a sector of music where a Swedish band composes and performs a song in honor of Audie Murphy.

By the way, went to my 1st Proto-Metal concert in July 1968, a double bill of Blue Cheer and Steppenwolf...

I like it. My kind of music. The stuff they make today isn't music. I mostly just do xm to avoid current crap on the radio.

They would really be out front if they played the late 1960’s hits that were “banned in Boston” like Bloodworth’s DOA. But they won’t.

That would be an interesting format change.

My wife told me when I helped her get stuff from the car this afternoon when she came home from work, that the new 97.7 format helped her make the same decision I did, tune in NPR instead.

I can tolerate the new programming much better than the old, at least I can listen for 20 minutes and not hear the same song twice.

unfortunately in 20 minutes your can be out of range of their signal. By far the weakerthan either 98.3 or 102.9, Which doesn't sat much.
I end up listening to two stations for the Eastern Shore as their signal comes in better (more range) both have a mix, hits of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
