The brazen plot against Trump by the Obama-era FBI and DOJ continues

No, they did not. The rotting of the FBI hierarchy began when then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and then-agent Peter Strzok, enabled by former Director James Comey and the Obama-era Justice Department, utilized an “unsubstantiated” dossier created by former British spy, Christopher Steele, and financed by the Clinton campaign, to request a FISA warrant to wiretap Trump campaign advisor Carter Page. Yet, the New York Times described the dossier as a “factor fuel[ing]” the “FBI’s concerns.”

We have been involved in the criminal justice process for decades. Never have we seen a law enforcement person concerned about anything unsubstantiated.

Another “factor” was that Trump “refused to criticize Russia on the campaign trail.” Really? Where was the FBI or DOJ angst in 2012 when President Barack Obama requested then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev tell Vladimir Putin that after the election, he would have “more flexibility” to deal with serious stuff like missile defense?

Another “factor” was that in July 2016, candidate Trump “called on Russia” “to hack into” Clinton’s emails. No. Trump’s remark, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you will be able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” was not a request to hack. Hillary had already used BleachBit to delete the emails so “even God cannot read them” according to former Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. Trump was joking to attack his political opponent for destroying evidence or, in legal jargon, obstructing justice.

The brazen plot against Trump by the Obama-era FBI and DOJ continues, enabled by a complicit media

Obama Era FBI Employees did not like the POLITICAL Stance Trump took vis a vi Russia, so they opened an investigation into wither Trump was a Russian Spy after Trump joked about Hillary's missing 30,000 emails and took a softer approach to Russia ...

think about that for a minuet

Even though the Times would have us believe that the FBI investigated Trump out of a legitimate concern for national security, those same facts prove that, in launching and directing the investigation, the leadership of Comey’s FBI was engaging in partisan presidential politics to further their own selfish interests. Here’s why.

Recall that Hillary Clinton was supposed to win the 2016 presidential election. All of the pols, polls, and pundits agreed on that point. She was a lock for the White House.

Nevertheless, Clinton faced a number of politically sticky issues. Most prominent of these was her use as Secretary of State of an unsecure private email server to transact official business.

Because this had unavoidably become a matter of public concern, the FBI conducted a Potemkin investigation of Clinton for possible violations of a criminal statute that makes it a felony for anyone lawfully possessing information pertaining to the national defense to allow it, through “gross negligence,” to be removed from its proper place of custody and disclosed. In other words, under the statute, one need not intend to cause harm. As with a drunken driver who accidentally runs down a pedestrian, “gross negligence” alone was sufficient to warrant a felony charge.

The FBI’s ‘Trump treason’ probe flunked civics

The FBI took it upon itself to determine whether the president of the United States is a threat to national security.

No one had ever before thought that this was an appropriate role for the FBI, a subordinate agency in the executive branch, but President Trump isn’t the only one in Washington trampling norms.

If the Times reporting is correct, the FBI grew more suspicious of Trump’s conduct based on comments that have been widely misunderstood. Among the bill of particulars:

During the campaign, he urged the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton’s email. Trump clearly meant this line sardonically, though.

The GOP platform, moreover, allegedly was softened toward Russia. Never mind that, as Byron York of the Washington Examiner has shown, this didn’t actually happen.

And in his Lester Holt interview after the Comey firing, the president said “this Russia thing with Trump is a made-up story.” The president added that he knew firing Comey probably extended the probe rather than shortened it.

More legitimately, agents were disturbed by Trump’s continual praise for Vladimir Putin. These comments were blameworthy but not a federal offense.

The Times implies that foreign policy played into the FBI internal debate. “Many involved in the case,” the paper reports, “viewed Russia as the chief threat to American democratic values.” That is entirely defensible and perhaps the correct view (China is the other candidate). But there is no warrant for the FBI letting its foreign policy ideas influence the momentous decision to #investigate a president.

This is why it changed from "gross negligence" to "careless", they were all in fear for their jobs.

This needs to be repeated every hour, of every day, for those on the left who still can't figure this out.
Of course he wasn't asking them to "hack" her emails - those emails had been destroyed, in a wanton willful criminal act that I STILL can't believe
has gone unpunished. No hack in the world could have produced them.

I still think based on the flimsy evidence, behavior and expressions made by our former president, the same kind of case could have been
made claiming he was a Manchurian candidate bought and paid for by Islamic extremists, terrorist and drug cartels.

Seriously - go back over the last administration and examine the "evidence". If the GOP had been this bat#### crazy, they would have tried to impeach Obama
on the grounds that he was working for terrorists and drug cartels.

The FBI and the CIA colluded with democrats to interfere with an election.

The evidence is clear.

Of course they did it under the influences of Hussein Obama.
